To offset the inconvenience of having the bridge unusable while under construction, there is a shuttle service that runs 20 hours per day between Kittery and Portsmouth, beginning at 5 a.m. and continuing to 1 a.m. Pick-up locations: In Kittery, ME, just north of Warren’s Restaurant on Water Street; and in Portsmouth, NH, at the intersection of Daniel and Bow Streets.
